Garden Terrace Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence in Aurora

For the second consecutive health inspection, the team at Garden Terrace Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence in Aurora has received zero deficiencies.

During annual health inspections, state surveyors observe resident care, as well as how staff carry out processes and review documentation. The inspections last from four to five days. When Garden Terrace associates were asked how they coped with being under a microscope during the time of the inspection, most responded by saying, “We just do what we always do.”

“I know that everyone who works at Garden Terrace goes above and beyond each and every day,” said John Moreno, executive director. “As a result, when we have our annual inspection, I am fully confident that what I see every day will be seen by those observing our team.”

The surveyors completed their most recent inspection on Feb. 16, 2018.

“The true meaning behind doing our motto, Whatever It Takes And Then Some, has been exemplified through our staff’s dedication in providing consistently excellent patient-centered care, continuous process improvement initiatives and great communication amongst staff,” said Meredith Krier, admissions director.

“Great inspection results for the team at Garden Terrace is only icing on the cake,” she added. “The most satisfaction comes from seeing the daily results of the effort made, the patience displayed and the love offered in the lives of the patients, residents and families we serve.”

Garden Terrace of Aurora is rated five stars by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
